PROFILE OF DR. OLUSOLA OYEYEMI
Dr.(Chief) Olusola Oyeyemi graduated from Ogun State University in 1988. He was called to the Nigerian bar as a Barrister and Advocate in 1989. He was awarded a Masters Degree in Constitutional Law and Human Rights Practice at the prestigious University of Pretoria, July 1999. He relocated to the United States of America the same year, attended various courses in the United States of America and was called to the bar in July 2002 with license to practice law.
He started his practice in America with the Law Firm of Thomas and Irukera in Chicago, Illinois upon admission to the bar. In March 2003, he started a partnership with two other Attorneys called Partners Attorneys and Counselors where they cater to the needs of their clients. In addition to his law practice, he became an Arbitrator in 2009 with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and has sat as an administrative Judge and presided over many contractual issues that required arbitration.
Sola was a former President of Egbe Omo Ife, Chicago Chapter, USA; he is the Legal Adviser of Ife Ooye North America, an organization of Ife Indigenes in America and Canada and Ife Legacy Foundation, an organization of Ife indigenes in Diaspora. The organizations have impacted a lot of people in Ife and environs by providing food for the elderly, scholarship for indigent students, yearly medical mission, boreholes and public toilet facility. He is the current President of Club 5 USA, a socio philanthropic organization based in Chicago and has previously served as the Vice President of the same organization.
As a result of his philanthropic gestures in Nigeria and America he was conferred with a Doctor of Science Degree in Public Administration by the Board of Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, Ile-Ife in November 2018 and the Chieftaincy title of Bamofin of Iyanfoworoji, Ile-Ife in December 2019.
He was ordained a Deacon of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 2015; he also occupies leadership positions in his church, Household of Faith, RCCG Lansing, IL.
Sola is the current President of Club 5 USA, a socio-Philanthropic organization based in Chicago, Illinois. He has assisted many Nigerians that immigrated to the United States to settle down with their families. His philanthropic work has earned him several awards from the Nigerian community in America; the most recent was from Egbe Omo Obokun in Chicagoland.
He has participated and facilitated many philanthropic gestures including digging of borehole to his community in Ile-Ife, helping indigent students complete their education and realizing their goals by paying their school fees and giving scholarship awards.
He is a member of the American Bar association, Nigerian Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Civil Liberty Organization (ACLU), admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Washington State, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, United States Court of Appeal for the Second, Sixth, Seventh and Eleventh Circuits.
Sola is happily married to Chief Mrs. Abiola Sola-Oyeyemi and the union is blessed with three beautiful and God-fearing children.
